SEMESTER PLANNING

This programme is built up of modules and each module contains different lectures. There are three types of modules: compulsory and mandatory elective modules, plus the elective module Studium Generale.

Students can choose to specialise either in Geodesy or in Geoinformatics, which implies a set of specific modules in the two domains. In each of both domains at least 10 CP must be obtained.

The handbook contains all relevant information to organise your degree programme, including detailed module descriptions. The curriculum varies depending on your start of studies.

Note: Students, who were admitted on condition of passing the requirement courses, have an increased workload to manage. An extension of programme duration is rather likely.

EXAMINATIONS

You have to register online for exams during the given registration period. This does not apply for requirement courses and your Master's thesis.

Students decide independently which and how many examinations they register and attend to each semester. We recommend to take the exams on the dates suggested in the handbook.

REGULATIONS

The examination regulations (PO) state structure and content of the degree programme and are legally binding. The PO defines requirements for examinations and their procedure. It specifies the modules in which examination and study achievements are to be performed as well as the number and type of examinations.

The transitional arrangements apply to all students who have changed from PO 16 to PO 18. Important: Failed examinations may not be repeated according to the old examination regulations.
