Remote Sensing: Honorary Membership for Christian Heipke

The Secretary General of the Asian Association for Remote Sensing (AARS), Prof. Kohei Cho (Tokai University, Japan, left) and Christian Heipke were both awarded honorary membership of MAPIN/ISRS in Makassar.

For his outstanding achievements in remote sensing, Prof. Christian Heipke, Director of the Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation (IPI) at Leibniz University Hannover, was appointed an Honorary Member of MAPIN/ISRS, the Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing, on 27 October 2025 during the 46th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS) in Makassar (Indonesia).
