Dr. Yanlin Zhao from the University of Science and Technology Beijing has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship to conduct research at the Institute for Risk and Reliability in close cooperation with Prof Michael Beer's team. "Together, we will work on an efficient and robust technology for digital twins that can optimally process hybrid uncertainties with highly deficient data," explains Michael Beer. In particular, new methods of stochastic model adaptation are to be developed that efficiently integrate interval-valued information.
